Restricted Businesses

Checkfront reserves the right to deny the use of our Services by any business or organization that meets the following criteria.

Use of our Services by any business or organizations that meet the following criteria (“Restricted Businesses”) is not allowed. We may terminate access to our Services by Restricted Businesses at any time without liability. 

• High-risk jurisdictions: Businesses operating in any Prohibited Jurisdiction (as defined in our Master Terms of Service) or any other jurisdiction that we determine to be high-risk, such as North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk Regions.
• Deceptive investment schemes: “Pyramid” and “get rich quick” schemes, including: investment opportunities or other services that promise high rewards to mislead consumers; schemes that claim to offer high rewards for very little effort or up front work; sites that promise fast and easy money; businesses that make unrealistic claims, use deceptive testimonials, use high-pressure upselling, or use fake testimonials; (with or without a written contract) offering unrealistic incentives or rewards as an inducement to purchase products or services.
• Unauthorized reselling: No value-added services, including sale or resale of a service without added benefit to the buyer and resale of government offerings without authorization or added value.
• Adult content or services: Pornography and other mature audience content (including literature, imagery, performances (live or virtual), and other media) depicting nudity or explicit sexual acts, adult services including prostitution or sexual services.
• Firearms, explosives, and dangerous materials: Guns, gun powders, ammunitions, weapons, fireworks, and other explosives and dangerous toxic, flammable, or radioactive chemicals. 
• Gambling: Games of chance, including gambling, internet gambling, sweepstakes and contests, fantasy sports leagues with for a monetary or material prize, sports forecasting or odds making with a monetary or material prize, lotteries, or bidding fee auctions.
• Inaccurate or misleading business identity. Use of our Services with false, manipulated, inaccurate, or misleading information regarding your identity, business entity, the nature of business, and any other information requested by us, or on behalf of a business that is different from the organization identified on your account with us. 
• Use of counterfeit good or services or that infringe intellectual property rights: Sales, distribution, or use of any materials without appropriate authorization by the owner of the property, or any other products or services that directly infringe or facilitate infringement upon the trademark, patent, copyright, trade secrets, proprietary or privacy rights of any third party.
• Sale or use of legal or illegal substances: Sales or use of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, or other legal substances without proper licenses or permits under Applicable Laws; Sales or use of illicit or illegal substances of any kind; Sales or provision of prescription drugs.
• Sales or use of prohibited items: Sales or use of weapons contrary to Applicable Laws; Sales or display of historical artifacts without proper licenses or permits under Applicable Laws. 
• Businesses that pose an elevated risk: Risky or extreme sports or similar activities provided to minors or if provided to adults, without adequate risk notices and liability waivers that, in our opinion, provide acceptable legal protection to us and our representatives.  
• Activities contrary to the intended use of the Checkfront service: Businesses or activities that are inconsistent with use by experience providers or in ways that are not reasonably connected with the features and functionality of our Services.
