Calendar: Month/Week/Day Views

The calendars in Checkfront enable you to quickly and visually keep track of all your bookings. You can view calendars for the current period, the past and into the future. Bookings on the calendar are colour coded based on the status of the booking, to further enhance the usefulness of these views.

Monthly Calendar View

The monthly calendar provides a standard forward-looking calendar that shows the number of bookings for a given day. It is accessible through the main menu at Calendar > Month.

Month Calendar

Clicking on a customer’s name directly from the calendar date square, will take you straight to the associated booking.

Clicking on a date square, rather than a customer’s name, will bring up a window with all the bookings for that day. The customer name is hyperlinked, so clicking on that will take you directly to the associated booking.

Bookings Window

In addition to the customer’s name and item booked, the window also displays the check-in status, quantity booked, amount of booking and the booking status.

You will also notice a small, blue icon in the top right corner of the window.

Booking Index Icon

Clicking this will take you to the Booking Index for that particular day.

At the bottom of the window, you can view the total bookings for the day, the total quantity booked and the total value of those bookings.

You can also create a new reservation by clicking on the New Booking button.

Calendar Navigation

Use the arrows, top centre, to quickly move from month to month. Clicking on the today button will return you to the current date.

The Settings button, next to the Category button, opens up a small drop-down menu, allowing you to refine the data which is displayed on your calendar.

Calendar Settings

Show Events: With this option checked, any events which you have configured in your system will be displayed on the calendar. Winter Special is an example of this in the image above.

Show Booking Details: With this option checked, your bookings will be displayed on the calendar. Uncheck it to remove the bookings altogether. This would be useful if you only wanted to view the events.

Help: Click on this link to visit the homepage for assistance on all calendars in Checkfront.

iCal: Click here if you wish to create an iCal URL for displaying the bookings on a third-party calendar.

This option works exactly the same in the week and day views also.
