Dashboard - default period bracket

I really like some of the new features on the dashboard, and its general look.

But I'd like to point out that the current default period when opening the dashboard may not suit all business models.

Someone who rents kayak by the hour, may only want to see the current (and following) day where a business like mine (long rental period of 2 weeks with shipping) needs a much long term view (typically 1 month minimum) in order to plan.

Would it be possible to see the length of the default period brackets to be customisable ?
If not possible for each widget (separately), than at least for the whole dashboard…
