Asking for Help/suggestions

Hi,

I'm running the equivalent of a sport equipment rental business.
Customers book items for multiple days in a row.

We offer different Models (about 15), and for each model, there are different variations (sizes) (about 8 to 10)


LEVEL 1 :Currently, I have 1 category for each model. (Visible to Customer during booking process)
  • Mod1 in Cat1 
  • Mod2 in Cat2
  • Mod3 in Cat3
  • etc…
LEVEL 2 : Then the customer has to choose 1 variation. (Visible to Customer during booking process)
  • Mod1_Var1
  • Mod1_Var2
  • Mod1_Var3
  • etc….

LEVEL 3 : I have multiple items for each combination. (NOT Visible to Customer during booking process)
  • Mod1_Var1_Item1
  • Mod1_Var1_Item2
  • Mod1_Var1_Item3
  • etc...
And I need to keep individual track of each single item, for maintenance, availability, upgrade, etc.

During booking process, I want my customers to choose ModX_VarY (ie Level 2) only. Not all the way to Level 3.
Once the Staff has allocated the specific Item ModX_VarY_ItemZ (ie Level 3), I want it to appear on the booking invoice.

And of course, the inventory (and availability) for each ModX_VarY should be equal to the sum of all  sub items {ModX_VarY_ItemZ}.

Any suggestions on how to do this please ?

    Thanks for reaching out to our forums!

    Since you're interested in tracking individual equipment (assets), we'd recommend continuing to explore V4 including Resource Management which is currently in development.

    With V4, you can keep track of each asset and its status through the Asset Calendar. There are more improvements to come to this Calendar, such as a day view.

    You'll also be able to assign a specific asset SKU to a booking using the Daily Manifest; however, we haven't yet made any updates related to showing this specific assigned SKU on the booking invoice. Please check your email inbox for a workaround I've provided using a custom booking form field.

    I've also tagged your related support tickets to the referenced feature request reports so that we can let you know if and when there are any improvements made.
