Quickbooks Online Add-on Error SalesItemLineDetail.ItemRef

Hello, I have successfully setup Checkfront to Create Invoice on changing the status to Reserved.

Then we switched our Quickbooks Online to a completely new setup.

Here is screenshot of the error within Checkfront. The customer is correctly created in Quickbooks. I am left scratching my head.

ADDON QUICKBOOKSONLINE
Error creating invoice: Invalid Reference Id (Invalid Reference Id : Line.SalesItemLineDetail.ItemRef)

Any tips?

    Hi gegere,

    Thanks for your question!

It is possible that you are getting this error due to an invalid Quickbooks sales item set on your Checkfront items. You can verify this on either the 'Attributes' tab on each item in Checkfront, or ensure that there is a default sales item selected on the Quickbooks integration settings from 'Manage > Integrations' within the Checkfront account.

Please feel free to reach out to support@checkfront.com if you are still running into this error, and our team will be happy to take a closer look into this with you!

  • We have an external app that is connecting to quick books for accounting integration and we are getting this error every time we try to upload data to quick books.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply!

The next step would be to ensure that the Sales Item set as your default in Manage > Integrations > Quickbooks Online is currently active in Quickbooks.

If it is not, you'll want to reactivate it and then you can try to resync the booking to Quickbooks by enabling sync on a booking edit. From Manage > Integrations > Quickbooks Online: 'Create Invoice On', and select 'New/Edit Booking'.

Next, you will want to switch the status of a booking in question to pending and back to reserved.

If this doesn't seem to do the trick please let us know.

    Warmly,

  • Hello, what is odd is that this worked the first time and following the steps you shared. Creating a new booking and changing the status to "Reserved" continued with the same error message on the second booking creation.

I have disconnect the Checkfront Integration and reconnecting it confirming each step. The final result is:
