More Statuses on Calendar Views

How to I see more than just Reserved or Deposit status on the Calendar views? We provide a lot of Quotes and have a status for that and also Pending does not seem to show up? This makes it very difficult to follow up with and manage all the "potential" reservations that we have.

    I hope you're doing well today! In general, our calendars display statuses that lock inventory. You can check which statuses are locked in your Checkfront account under Manage > Layout > Statuses. I'm not certain which status you're using for quotes, but I see that your Pending status does lock inventory. I've taken a quick look at your account and I can see that the Pending status is appearing on the calendar. 

    I would love to continue this conversation. Would you be able to email us at support@checkfront.com with bookings that should be appearing but aren't, or with specific dates that should be showing bookings?

  • Pretty simple.  We should be able to pick whatever Status we want to see on the Calendar views regardless of whether they lock inventory or not.

    We spend almost as much time managing hotel Quotes and we even have a "Reservation" Status for our Restaurant but of course none of these show up so it is very difficult to manage them.

    At the moment, the Customer Calendar will just display bookings with a locked status, and it's not currently possible to customize which statuses display on the Customer Calendar in this way.

    That being said, I can certainly see the usefulness of a feature like this and I will submit feature request on your behalf.

    For the time being, you could go to Booking > Index, set the desired date span, and select the relevant status(es) from the Status drop-down. This way, you'll be able to see a list of potential bookings that can be followed up with.

  • Just realized I never responded to this,

    Booking Index will not work. We book items based on calendar dates so looking at a long text report is not useful for determining what overlaps we have/may have between Booked, Quoted, Tentative or any other Statuses we may have,

    Calendar view is simple and effective.

  • yes, I second that: having the possibility to display ANY status in the Customer/Calendar view would be great.
    and of course, the ability to select 1, some, or all status ;-)
