How to add a cancellation fee?

Hi,

How to I add either a flat fee or percentage fee to a cancellation?  If I'm using Stripe and Paypal as payment gateways, does the Cancellation fee need to be initiated through them, or can I change a booking status to Cancelled and the fee will be applied.

    Thanks for using Checkfront forums!

    You can add a cancellation fee manually to a booking. This is best achieved by creating a new item that is the cancellation fee. This can be a simple item as it's just a fee that doesn't have a set inventory. Once you have created this 'Cancellation Fee' item you can then manually add the item as a penalty to bookings that are canceled when necessary. Adding the item can be done where you would ordinarily go to edit a booking, Booking Index > Select the booking in question > Edit tab > Add item > Add your cancellation fee item > Save.

    May I know if I can use Payoneer as a payment method? I'd like my Users & Customers to make me payments through Payoneer. I don't want to use PayPal or Stripe because of my country's restrictions. According to this list, I think CheckFront is not on the list of Payoneer partners.

If this is a feature you'd like to see, I will add it to our internal Feature Request list so our Product team knows it's in demand.
