Gift Certificates

I see there was request and discussion for this feature almost a year ago and wondered if there was an update.

We want to be able to offer pre paid gift vouchers for our service without the customer having to select a date.

    Gift certificates are not a full feature of Checkfront at this time, a workaround to offering gift vouchers for purchase is to create a separate gift certificate inventory item.

    When a customer purchases this item, you can then manually email the customer a voucher code through the invoice itself.

    Also, I'll add you to our list of people who want to see gift certificates added to the system.

  • can we make a voucher that includes enough value to be used with several bookings or can they only be used once?

    Hi Battalion,

    Vouchers can only be used once and do not carry a balance. However, there is an active request for gift certificates that our development team is working on, and we hope to provide this option in the near future, so stay tuned!

    Thanks for checking in about the new gift certificate feature. This feature is still being actively developed but hasn't been released yet.

    Hi folks,

    We're currently rolling out our new gift certificate feature. You should see the "New Version" (3.7.1) notification appear in your account over the next couple weeks, depending on which server your account is on. Furthermore, we have a support document for the gift certificates at https://www.checkfront.com/support/docs/add-ons/gift-certificates, which covers the details of this using this new feature.
