Checkfront 3.1 is Here

We are proud to present an update with some really fantastic new features, which will make it easier than ever to take bookings and payments for your business. Here’s the rundown of what’s happening in the newest update of Checkfront:

Checkfront Payments powered by Stripe

Stripe is now our default payment gateway. They’re a great payment provider: no fixed monthly fees, no holdbacks, no fees for refunds, and weekly settlements to you. Stripe also integrates seamlessly into Checkfront’s app and your website, streamlining the user experience. Checkfront also supports a re-billing option with Stripe, which allows you to add items to an existing booking and apply payments without having to repeatedly get the customer’s credit card details. It’s easy, secure, and needless to say we’re big fans. Check out more information on Stripe here, and enable it by logging into your account, going to Manage – Ecommerce, and clicking ‘Enable’. And don’t worry—we still support over 20 different payment gateways if Stripe isn’t a fit for you. For more information see: Checkfront Partners with Stripe.

Support for Google Universal Analytics

We’ve added in support for Universal tracking in Google Analytics. Switching to Universal Tracking will give more accurate referral tracking as well as additional data in your Ecommerce tracking. For a more compresnsive look please see: Universal Analytics for Google in Checkfront

New Payment Gateways

We pride ourselves in giving our users a wide variety of add-ons, and in the spirit of that versatility we’ve added support for two new payment gateways:

Braintree

Braintree is a popular payment option available in the US, Europe, Australia, and Canada, and used by companies like the car service Uber. Braintree offers a fast 2-day payout to merchants as well as website integration and no monthly fees whatsoever. Like Stripe, Braintree has the ability to store and re-bill a customer’s credit card if necessary; for those of you that charge deposits on your bookings, this option will streamline the process and is worth checking out. Moneris

Moneris is a powerful and very well-known payment gateway that’s been operating in the industry for over 30 years. It also integrates into your website, offering real-time transaction processing and an intuitive user interface. With this service your customers have the option to pay in part or full at the time of booking, and you can even do in-app refunds.
