Online Bookings with SagePay

We are happy to announce support for the Sage Pay payment gateway. Sage Pay is a popular payment processor in the UK and Ireland. It allows you to offer your customers the ability to to pay in part, or in full at the time of booking and fully integrates into the Checkfront back-office app.

Checkfront currently integrates into Sage Pay by way of their direct payment method. This provides a seamless checkout for your customers, and fully integrates into the Checkfront back-office app.

Setup

To enabled the Sage Pay extension login to your Checkfront account, and navigate to the Add-ons / E-Commerce screen. From there you will see a list of available payment modules. Select Sage Pay and supply the information requested:

  • Vendor Name: Your Vendor Name as provided by Sage Pay.
  • Mode: Live, Test, and Simulator environments
  • Payment Type: Capture will bill the customer right away. Authorize will only verify the funds are available, and put a hold on them.
  • Use 3D Secure Card Validation: require customers to use 3D secure verification (Mastercard / Visa only).

You will need to add the Checkfront’s IP in SagePay

Under Settings > Valid IP, this is what should show: 109.074.193.019

Make sure you have enabled payment processing, and setup any appropriate taxes and e-commerce settings under in the Manage / E-Commerce section of Checkfront.

Test Mode

It’s highly recommended that you do an end-to-end test of your checkout before putting your site live. To do so, follow the setup instructions above and check “Enable test mode”. Creating a transaction as a customer and check to see that it shows up in your Checkfront account as paid, and within Sage Pay. If you don’t have a website to test on yet, use the hosted booking page (eg: https://yourcompany.checkfront.com/reserve/) to test.

If you don’t yet have a Sage Pay account you can sign-up for an developer account and use the simulator environment.

Test Card Numbers

You can use the following test credit card numbers when testing your Sage Pay checkout:

Visa: 4929000000006
Mastercard: 5404000000000001
Maestro: 5641820000000005

You can use a any CVC code, and an expiry date in the future.

* Always remember to take your account out of test mode when you are finished.

Notes

3D secure is not enabled when using the virtual console (clicking on Add Payment when viewing an invoice).
