Calendar events in booking receipts
Our iCal notification add-on allows you to embedded iCal event request in your booking notifications and receipts. When enabled on a notification, an event is attached to the outgoing email, with a summary of the booking, and the date / time of the event. Similar to a meeting request, your customers can quickly add the booking to their calendar directly from the receipt.
iCal events can be read by most common mail and calendar applications, including Gmail, MS Outlook, Apple Mail / iPhone, Blackberry, Yahoo and Thunderbird.
The status of the event will reflect the current status of the booking. If the booking is Pending, it will show in the calendar as Tentative. If Paid, Reserved or Deposit, it will show as confirmed. If the booking is canceled and you send a cancellation e-mail, it will be adjusted in your customers calendar.
This add-on can be enabled in the Extend area of the booking console. Once activated, you can then enable event request on a per-notification basis in the notification setup.
