With he new dashboard, we've had a some requests to allow a wide and long version of a widget to allow for more information to be displayed per panel. 

If you remove two widgets from your dashboard and refresh your page, your dashboard will be divided into two fullsize columns.  There currently isn't support for two horizontal widgets, but we'll consider it in a future release.
