Checkfront is based out of Vancouver and Victoria BC, Canada. Although we are ideally looking for a local candidate, we will consider telecommuting and flex-work for talented individuals in a relative timezone. We are open to contract and full time engagements, however Checkfront must be your primary focus.

You are:
A creative, self-motivated web developer with practical experience, a passion for start-ups and innovation. You enjoy new API’s like a good book. You talk about code at parties. Sometimes you dream in pixels, sometimes you dream in Jquery, but mostly you dream in PHP.
You should have:
3 or more years experience building web and e-commerce applications in PHP / JQuery / HTML 5, SQL.
Exceptional communication skills (not skillz).
Experience with popular web platforms / API’s including as many of these as possible: Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, Facebook, Twitter, Quickbooks, Google Apps, Paypal, Authorize.net, SagePay, Xero, Travelocity, Expedia, OpenID, Appcelerator, Stripe, Salesforce, Desk.com (we can go on).
Fanatical attention to detail and data security.
We’d love you to have:
Experience deploying and maintaining web server technology (Amazon, Linode).
Familiarity with source control systems (Git, SVN).
A good understanding of enterprise cloud applications.
Mobile app development (iPhone, Android).
Experience in the hospitality, event management, or other schedule based business management systems.
An appreciation for well designed apps, UI / UX.
Previous experience in a Saas, or service based business.
